What major do I have to be to join?
Alpha Kappa Psi is open to ALL majors. We firmly believe in promoting a diverse environment and shaping leaders in all fields. We currently have brothers majoring in Biological Sciences, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Management & Business Economics, Mechanical Engineering, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Spanish and more!
What year do I have to be to join?
You can be any year to join Alpha Kappa Psi. The only exception is that freshmen must have a college GPA. This means that when coming to UC Merced, you must have at least 12 college units completed. If not, freshmen have to wait until their Spring Semester to join!

How do I receive a bid (or invitation) to join?
At the beginning of each semester, UC Merced hosts a Professional Fraternity Recruitment Week. During this week, Alpha Kappa Psi will host events where you can meet our current active brothers. Also, there will be a brief application and interview process for those really interested. After having an interview with some of our brothers, you will be notified of whether or not you have received a bid through email.
